When it comes to rodent control, not all glue traps are the same. A heavy duty glue trap is built to handle tougher situations, and the difference shows in the details.
The glue itself is the first thing you'll notice. Instead of a thin layer of ordinary adhesive, these traps use thicker coatings of high-grade white glue. The glue feels stickier and holds up longer, even if the trap is placed in a dusty corner or in areas where the temperature changes a lot. Once a mouse or rat steps onto it, the stronger glue makes it much harder for them to pull free.
Another point is attraction. Many heavy duty glue traps are scented with peanut butter or grain flavors, which act like built-in bait. That small detail helps bring rodents closer instead of waiting and hoping they'll cross the board by accident.
The board itself is also different. Heavy duty versions are usually larger and sturdier, made with thicker paper or cardboard so they don't fold or curl easily. Bigger surface area means more chances to catch, and some boards can even be folded into a tunnel shape to fit under appliances or along walls.
Put together, these improvements-better glue, more glue, optional scents, and stronger boards-make heavy duty glue traps more reliable than regular ones. For homes, kitchens, warehouses, or anywhere rodents are a serious problem, they offer a stronger and longer-lasting way to keep pests under control.
