Introduction of Semi Conductive Tape:

Semi conductive self-adhesive tape is mainly used for making shielding layer of rubber-plastic insulated cable terminals and joints with rated voltage not exceeding 10kV, and can also be used for shielding structures required by other facilities.

Semi conductive tape is a kind of high-conformity,semi-conductive ethylene-propylene rubber insulating tape. It does not need vulcanization, has stable performance, and maintains stable electrical conductivity in a wide range of operating temperatures. Its electrical conductivity is affected by low-viscosity oil. Does not affect the conductivity of the semiconducting layer of the cable.

Features of Rubber semi conductive tape:

Ethylene propylene rubber;

Semi-conductive (low resistivity);

maintain conductivity when stretched;

Easy to stretch, good conformability to irregular surfaces;

Stable performance under overload temperature (130℃/266oF);

Resistant to solvent, UV and moisture;

Use step for Semi conductive tape:

1) Make sure the protected area is dry and free from sharp edges and corners

2) The wrapping process needs to be properly stretched by 10%-100% overlapped spiral and wrapping forward

3) The start and end positions need more than one turn to completely overlap the wrapping

4) After the first layer wrapping is completed, start wrapping the second layer back, and after the second layer is completed, repeat the first layer operation to wrap the third layer, and so on until the required layer thickness.
